Im planning my first ski trip in Scotland on Feb/Mar24.
is it dangerous to drive those places from Glasgow during the snowing time? it seem many mountain road there.
do I need to prepare a snow chain for tire?

and is it possible to ski during Easter holiday?

Not sure if you meant Glencoe rather than Glenshee since you mentioned Nevis Range?

If you are driving to Nevis or Glencoe, both these areas start from a relatively low level base, with an access lift up to the ski area. Coming from Glasgow, you will drive over Rannoch Moor to access both these areas (summit about 1200ft). However the main ski areas start from around 2200ft.

So you are less likely to encounter snow covered roads in the West, and the A82 over Rannoch Moor is a main trunk route, so is ploughed / gritted 24/7.

To access Glenshee you will be driving up to 2200ft at the top of the Cairnwell Pass and are more likely to encounter snow covered roads (or closed snow gates) than at either Nevis or Glencoe.

Winter or all season tyres make a big difference - even just in cold conditions, but as long as you have good tread left you are unlikely to encounter big problems on the A82. Chains might get you out of difficulty in severe conditions, but they are very unlikely to get you to the ski areas, as the roads are usually just closed if they get to that point. Only a couple of times in many years have I seen police restrict the CairnGorm ski road to chains only and that was from Aviemore rather than the mountain climb from Glenmore.
