Glencoe Snow 2026 - Celebrating 70 years in February!
Date Posted: 00.16hrs on Thu 20 Nov 25
Kicking off a new season thread as it looks like someone has bagged the first on snow turns of the approaching winter season on Meall a' Bhuiridh - beyond those that the snowsports school got on the dryslope on Tuesday!

While the West waits for more significant snow, which looks like it might be coming from the middle of the new week, beginner ski and snowboard lessons are available on the dry ski slope.

Situated behind the base cafe, adjacent to the equipment hire, and equipped with a magic carpet, this is a great opportunity to learn the basics and be ready to progress onto the mountain when more snow arrives.

Good news is that heavy precipitation still falling as snow on the mountain at first light! Gust to 83mph mid mountain at 6.30, so significant drifting expected.

Snow has piled in this evening, probably matching what came during the day. Radar data suggests somewhere around 22 to 24cm of snow in the past 24 hours on the mountain, but level snow it will not be!

Just what stuck where will have to be assessed AM. Glencoe has the advantage of no high level road to deal with, but there is still likely to be some storm recovery work needed.
