Hi All I am a forecaster with the SAIS and have been part of a Risk Communication working group in the European Avalanche Warning Services for a few of years, reviewing and researching how users(and forecasters) relate to or understand the European Danger Scale which was developed 33 yrs ago. Finally there has been significant work done in developing the new Danger Scale descriptors to try and make it more understandable. This work is reaching it final phase after no change since 1993.
Importantly we need user feedback to decide on the final version of the scale. We have put together the attached survey group with psychologists and behavioural experts.
