I take a board and skis with me. does that mean that I'm bi?

you also need a saw, drill and set of bindings to "fix" the board

i think depending on where/what your doing either can be better, going faster on piste with big carves or annoying long flats boards cant really compete, its hard to look cool scooting along a flat while skiers glide by with ease. in deep powder boards are better, hands down! i agree they may not be ideal and a bit harder on the way up if your hiking but coming down kicking up a huge powder spray is unbeatable.

in regards to grumpy and the "i have a burton vapour so i am cool" argument, all that proves is you have more money than sense as there are better boards out there for less,

Having a Vapor is like having a Stella.... It's reassuringly expensive. Let's poor people know you're better than them because you have more money than them.

Boarding is for drones influenced by adverts, and who can't carve on their edges!! Little enjoyment to be had there!!

Surely if you were into 'expensive and exclusive' items then you would be standing on the funicular at Cairngorm. You would be at Courchevel or St Moritz or another swanky resort that all the beautiful people go to ;o)
