Hi Donald,
Perfect assessment of the situation!
Ironically whatever comes of the discussions about the future of Scottish mountain weather forecasting, it will never change the weather.
Even more ironically the Scottish Nation have become a nation arguing not about the weather but one which argues about WEATHER FORECASTING!
Sorry, I'll get my Mackintosh (coat) ;-)

The increase in wind speeds in the last few weeks has made me think of winter and I like that.
Does anyone else think that MWIS often gets the wind wrong and speeds too high?

Donald,
MWIS's oft used phrase, "Severe buffetting at Munro level" always left me with the enduring image of hills covered in mini pork pies, celery sticks, guacamole dip and of course vol au vents. ;-)

"There was a misunderstanding about investment beyond 2016 and now we have a resolution to cover the development phase before a sustainable, long-term service is up and running."
Aye, you're not joking!
