Note these words ... "in February Boris Watch reported indications that we might be looking at anywhere between £1.50 and £3 per journey." Good to know that the speculation is closer to bus-sports than winter-sports. But then the lift is being incorporated into the tube map (albeit with quite a walk from the nearest stations. The station on the south bank of the Thames is about 400m from the O2 dome and North Greenwich station).
The Nevis Range gondola is £11.25 return (but they have mountain+sea views!).
The only other comparable system in the UK (I think) is at Alton Towers - the Skyride, built by Poma ...
