How to spot a winterhighlander?
Date Posted: 11.26hrs on Fri 11 Jan 08
It occurred to me this morning that unless you have bright yellow kneepads, it's pretty tough to spot a winterhighlander on the slopes given that

1) We're no allowed stickers

2) T-shirts are a bit chilly for this weather

3) A lot of folk are thankfully wearing a helmet and therefore not a Winterhighland bunnet.

What about something we can wear over our jackets. Initially I thought of something like training bibs (not the infact sort) then I realised that something like a captain's armband would be just the ticket.

Winterhighland armbands ... is that a guid idea?

Gregor - good idea.

How about a wide velcro "ski tie" that could double up as an arm band?

In the first instance, any old velcro tie could do that stood out from your jacket. I think my local ski shop has cheap yellow fluro ones that could easily be written on with a black waterproof marker. Although "Winterhighland" could be too big to write on it eye popping smiley

BTW: My son has a homemade WH sticker on the front on his helmet.

What about a winterhighland snowboard leash! Although I wear mine as little as possible and it isn't very easy to see it could be distinguishing if it was bright or something!

I still want stickers!

It would be easy tae spot one, they would problay be the only stupid ones oot in the pishing rain when its windy as fook catching one tow/chair/train aw day for that last run and buzz, but that would be a small number of the winterhighland Cherry/'Erb loving crew!

The majority of them would be sitting at the side of the slope in a chair talking pish, if they ever made tae the resort!!!!!!!!!!

What on earth is "cherry/'erb loving"? Is it something they do in "the west" while getting eaten by midges?
