Re: The up a Mountain in a bothy Forum Arms....
Since we're all drumming fingers on tables waiting for the snow to thicken up, here's a quick recommendation to you non-teetotallers out there for a nice winter warmer. Someone bought me a bottle of 'Mulled Elderberry Wine' from the Cairn O'Mhor label for Christmas. I followed the instructions and stuck the open bottle in a pan of hot water on the stove until good and hot (but well below boiling).
Oh, yeeaaahhhhh.... Gorgeous
If you're not familiar with Cairn O'Mhor BTW, they are made near Errol between Perth and Dundee and have a fabulous range of unusual (and potent) fruit wines. The Bramble is (IMO) as good as an equivalent priced red, and the Oak Leaf whites are also superb. If you haven't tried 'em, you're missing out...
And that Mulled Elderberry is quite something. (hic)
