I'm a female snowboarder and not a lesbian. Do i break the stereotype ? But i done a freestyle session once at braehead and defo a few lesbians there, i guess by looking at them.

In general walking with a snowboard and sitting to do bindings doesnt bother me. Im fairly new to snowsports and never wanted to ski. I did go off piste last year for first time and had a blast :-)

A lot of skiers look naf but the ones who do it well look cool, like most snowboarders look cool:-)
I prefer free riding type stuff, decided that last year as first black runs. However, the beginner in me still appears, hopefully thatll go overtime

Personally, I thought the snow shoer (Jonny the plant) in Colin's blog on Cairngorm looked pretty darn cool!

[vimeo.com] just watched this and I have come to the conclusion it is not about coolness it is all about insanity!!

skiing is more controlled and practical (better control at same speed, tight turns, traversing, skins etc) but less fun. Snowboarding is less controlled and less practical (relative instability to skier, hard to stand up still on a slope, unclipping, hiking etc) but more fun.

The reason 'boarding is more fun is because you're going sideways

N.B. Snowboarders tend to have chips in their shoulders.

I once had a chip on my shoulder. It got stuck somehow on my jacket with tomato sauce:-)
