Unfortunately the super mild spells are stripping the snow of the mountains in no time, lets hope there is no repeat of 2016/2017 season. Snow-factory machines will be a necessity to keep the ski centres going.

Definetly true last season was horrific. Hopefully this extreme freeze then thaw will stop because we could have a big loss for everyone including customers.

Was up there again today. There had been some overnight fresh but worn patches were appearing again by the afternoon due to heavy traffic. Pictures in public reports

Cracking Bluebird day at the Lecht today. Buzzard and Falcon were great, the rest was good until lunchtime when things started becoming icy with the traffic. Good base down, just need some fresh for some great conditions.

Report in the Public Reports.

Some photos from Friday in the Public Reports. However couldn't see much today at the Lecht, more snow showers tonight into tomorrow morning. Should start to clear up later Saturday and a bluebird Sunday is forecast.

Great conditions at the Lecht today. No ice at all yet. Beautiful weather all day.

Did spend a lot of time queueing though - shame that a couple more tows weren't open, and more staff on ski hire at peak times wouldn't go a miss.

Cracking day at The Lecht today. Bluebird day and not a breath of wind!

Definitely the longest I've queued at the Lecht for a long time. 15 minute wait for the Grouse and the Chair, 10 mins for the Eagle. Falcon and Harrier not running through which was disappointing and would have really helped cut down the queues.

Report and photos in Public Reports.

Snow was perfect.

@Gartcoshyy: According to Lecht FB page, Harrier and Falcon both have mechanical issues.

Indeed - but I counted 4 tows which didn't spin all day and it didn't appear to be due to lack of snow. I'm trying not to be negative as we had a great day but sorry to say it would make me think twice about returning if Glenshee have snow.

I believe there is no power to some lifts, not sure if it’s internal or external side.
