Re: The Mother of all Snow Ramping Threads 2...
From what Ive seen over the last week or 2. Might get a spell of cold which can bring some snowfall (just like Glencoe dropping 20cm's overnight) but then you get the temps warming up a degree or 2 and it all just ends up falling off the side of the mountain as water the next day. Ground temps are probably too high and not enough of a base to keep any fresh through a milder period like we seeing now.
From looking at snow-forecast, temps are due to drop the start of next week, and plenty snow forecast for the Westerly regions...
Thats Glencoe's forecast...
However, come the weekend, azores high says hello again and dwarfs us all in warmer air.
Only thing I can see is the cold arriving from the West towards the states where they recently had some snowfall, which does seem to be pushing towards us at 240hrs (10days)
This is the ECM run..
But GFS for same time frame is vastly different and has it a lot further north.
Can it deliver the goods...or is it going to fade out into the north without any effect on us.
