Few of the models going for the highs in Greenland/Scandinavia so plenty opportunity to get the cold in, then just need the snow to come along after.

Few have mentioned a very close setup to 2010. Not sure what that was like for huge snowfall as on phone at minute and can’t look back through the pic archives

MWIS forecasting snow tomorrow pretty much identical to the above forecast. Good accuracy!

^^^^ I thought MWIS was closing down??

Didnt they get funding for another year though? Sure there was a post on here about it?

Timing is very good and pretty good accuracy. net weather charts showing overnight snow through the weekend and into early next week.




Big disagreement with the models at the minute, even at T96+ hrs where there are major differences. UKMO/ECM seem to want to promote a mild outcome and GFS wanting to try get a high up to the West of the UK towards greenland.

Could be rather cold and snowy if this pulls off

looks like the warmer air is going to win and persist after this weekend until December. Lots of rain and wind to look forward to. Holding little hope for a November slide.

Not what they’re saying on Netweather this evening. Signs of colder weather are getting stronger.

ECM brings a lot of cold down, which apparently could give northern scotland a pasting.

Believe this is the chart.




Got to remember its still only autumn and not winter yet.
