Heavy snow most of the day today really improved conditions. Scratchy areas all now pretty much covered over and some big drifts forming at the sides of the runs. Could be pretty tasty tomorrow if the sun comes out as forecasted!

The steady snowfall on Monday means basically all the runs are complete with a good cover between the fences of machine groomed packed powdery snow. More uplift is planned to open through the week with the Falcon and Buzzard due to open during Wednesday. On Tuesday the Eagle, Osprey Pomas and Snowy Owl Chairlift, plus magic carpets for beginners were open.

Some snow showers expected to make it through from the West on Wednesday, largely dry on Thursday, then more snow showers on Friday before a dry weekend with light winds and Sunny Spells. So it looks like it should be a cracker of a weekend for a pre Christmas slide at the Lecht - the Christmas shopping can wait! tongue sticking out smiley

Definitely true one of the best days at the Lecht in probably about 2 years.

Thinking about heading up on Saturday, but it's a long drive from Glasgow. Snow conditions look great, but will it be busy as it's a weekend? (And Xmas hols?)

Often the weekends just before Christmas aren't as busy as people might expect, but always difficult to call as the weather can be a factor, looked as if all uplift could run so probably shouldn't be mental!

True, so should spread out crowds. Glenshee closed though (and limited uplift at Cairngorm / Glencoe) which might draw people to the Lecht instead.

Unfortunately we'll only have one day skiing as I have to be back in Glasgow for late afternoon Sunday.

Decisions...

Today was excellent again with more fresh. Looking outstanding for the weekend. Hopefully will be quieter as everywhere plans to open.

All lifts scheduled except Harrier and Eagle 2. Will definitely be there tomorrow and probably Glenshee on Sunday.

Not much snow loss has occurred since yesterday as shown on the Buzzard Webcam. The main webcam is showing a picture from Saturday.

Some interesting skies at the Lecht this morning but sadly the download size is too large...
